Office of the Auditor General of Canada

The Office of the Auditor General of Canada employs some 650 employees who work at the head office in Ottawa and in four regional offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Montreal and Halifax.

The Office is divided into three main branches: Executive Services, Audit Practices and Audit Services.

Executive Services include the Offices of the Auditor and Deputy Auditor General of Canada as well as Forensic Audits, Communications, Legal Services and Parliamentary Liaison.

The Audit Practices Group has divided all institutions into various portfolios. An Assistant Auditor General is responsible for all audits pertaining to the institutions in their respective portfolios.

The Audit Services Group provides the support necessary for Audit Practices to do their work. This group includes Corporate Services and Strategic Planning and Professional Practices.
